We would like to remind everyone that there is to be a Whist Drive at the Village Hall at 2 p.m. on Monday, 28th August. We are deeply grateful for the hard work of those who run the Whist Drives for us.
Escot News August 2017
Well, the summer has continued which is wonderful – and even more wonderful is that we have had a little long awaited and much needed rain! So far it has been well behaved though and limited itself to odd days here and there.
As you read this we will have served what we hope to be many cream teas at the Open Garden event at Little Ash Bungalow and made some money for the Church upkeep. Let’s hope the rain stays away for that event!
The theme will be “The Twelve Days of Christmas”. We will be asking for applications to stage a tree and one of the 12 days will be allocated to each applicant so all the days of Christmas are covered. Trees will need to be staged by the end of Friday morning, 1st December. The festival will be open for three consecutive afternoons, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Further information will follow.
